Are you seeing strange swelling or scarring around your new piercing? Before you decide to remove it - I highly advise getting some fucidin cream from your nearest pharmacy / Clicks or Dischem.

Are you dealing with big Keloid scarring from injuries or surgery?

What is a Keloid?

A keloid is caused by an excess of protein (collagen) in the skin during healing. The scar rises after an injury or condition has healed, and spread way beyond the borders of the initial injury. This irregular scarring is typically found on the earlobes, shoulders, cheeks or middle chest. *Keloids are not to be confused by hypertrophic scars! Hypertrophic (raised) scars are contained within the site of injury and may regress over time, while keloids do not regress. Because keloid scars are easily aggravated, they are not suitable for scar revision/removal or skin camouflage procedures... However Keloids aren't harmful and don't necessarily need treatment. If a person finds them unattractive, a doctor can minimise the scars with steriod injections. OR do it yourself by simply taping them down as shown in the video below. Please speak to your doctor before self medicating - but Fucidin is an amazing cream. For any further information please contact me - 060 841 5829 / paramedic.ink@gmail.com
